SORA imagines the rooftops of Paris as a new territory to inhabit.
Installed above the rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, the restaurant transforms a usually inaccessible space into a living space open to the city. The project works the transition between Parisian density and the horizon, making the rooftop a new ground — between interior and exterior.
Inspired by the Japanese relationship between architecture, nature and contemplation, SORA proposes an experience where dining becomes a way of inhabiting height. The project thus questions the reappropriation of Parisian rooftops: no longer as technical surfaces, but as genuine public and social spaces.
