Conceived as a dual-function object, SADDL3 explores the relationship between seating, support and use.
The project takes the form of a bench capable of supporting the body while offering a second function: transporting a horse saddle or simply resting it when not in use. The structure integrates this object foreign to furniture, creating a relationship between two uses that coexist within a single form.
The geometry of the bench is designed to accommodate these different functions, balancing stability, portability and comfort. The saddle becomes an integral element of the project — not as formal inspiration, but as an object intended to be received and moved with the bench.
At the boundary between furniture and functional object, SADDL3 proposes a seat that transcends its primary use. The bench becomes support, storage and means of transport, in an approach where form derives directly from uses and interactions.
