OXIDE imagines a mirror as a material shaped by time.
A reflective surface, deliberately precise and geometric, detaches itself from an envelope with irregular contours, evoking a mineral material progressively eroded. Metal chains encircle the piece and emphasise the tension between the apparent fragility of the material and the rigour of its construction.
The mirror thus becomes more than a functional surface: a fragment, an imprint, an altered material. Reflection extends the object and blurs the boundary between its physical presence and its environment.
